SAPPHIRE Technology was first formed as a manufacturer and global supplier of graphics cards when ATI (now a division of AMD) adopted the Add-in Board partner (AIB) model for delivering its technology to market.

SAPPHIRE has consistently been the market leader with its graphics products. More recently the SAPPHIRE product range has been extended to include a broad range of mainboards and a number of and a number of solutions including the award winning SAPPHIRE EDGE Series of Mini PCs.

This year, SAPPHIRE celebrates 10 years of trading, bringing our successful mix of innovation and customer satisfaction to the global market.  During that time we have introduced a number of innovations to the graphics market that are still reflected in our product line-up today.

SAPPHIRE Workstation MILESTONES

2012:
 "Sapphire PGS Launch"
Sapphire PGS (Professional Graphics Solution) provides various types of professional display solutions for workstation and professional clients.  PGS supports full range of 3D professional applications for 3D professional users. For industrial customers, Sapphire PGS integrates all display related graphics application solutions for broadcasting wall, digital signage, medical, surveillance, ATC etc. Sapphire PGS will continuously provide the most appropriate solutions and the best after sales services.

2011:
*SAPPHIRE launches new workstation graphics with AMD branding: AMD FirePro V7900, V5900 and one model special design for medical use: ATI FirePro V5800DVI.

2010:
*SAPPHIRE and ATI launch various professional graphics cards with breakthrough technologies: ATI FirePro V9800 has six mini displayport outputs easy to connect to six DVI monitors without Displayport signal limitation.

*The first remote control graphic “RG220” launched by SAPPHIRE and AMD workstation department.

2009:
*Sapphire and ATI launch the Crossfire Pro technology, special to use on ATI FirePro 3D workstation graphic solutions.

*Sapphire again co-works with Taiwan NCHC in computex 2009.  Showing rat bones demo and human’s brain to demo the real-time view and the visualization rendering.

* SAPPHIRE and ATI launch the first synchronization module product: ATI FirePro S400.

2008:
*AMD officially announced a new brand for professional graphics accelerators-- ATI FirePro™.

*SAPPHIRE &ATI launch the first 3D workstation graphics card with DisplayPort outputs—ATI FirePro V7700, ATI FireMV 2260

* Sapphire  launched  Firequad Super Display Solution at Computex 2008--The 56 inch monitor with the high-end spec workstation graphics” ATI FireGL V8650”which built in 2GB GDDR4 high speed memory, the display’s standout resolution is “3840X2160”.

*The first SAPPHIRE branded Power Supply 625W launched delivering stricter quality control for workstation or power gaming users.

*SAPPHIRE & ATI launch the first stream computing graphics which can accelerate to 1TFLOPS.

*The first Siggraph show Asia in Singapore: Sapphire demonstrated an important medical imaging research from Visual and Interactive Media Laboratory (VIML) from Taiwan NCHC.  Using the power of ATI FireGL V8650, we were able to render this high dataset images to allow research personnel to perform further investigation and researches without sacrifice further animals on researches.

2007:          
*SAPPHIRE Technology is authorized to be the exclusive partner of AMD Workstation product line in APAC (except Japan)--ATI FireGL 3D graphics and ATI FireMV 2D multi-view graphics.
